In a hiring interview, what I'm really looking at isn't the resume.
I believe it all comes down to a person's facial expression, their eyes, and the feeling they convey. Whether or not I can think, "I want to work with this person." That's everything.

I find myself drawn to people who, even if a little clumsy, earnestly convey their desire to do something, rather than those who are eloquent or skillfully good at putting on a good front. That sincerity is what is strongest in the workplace.

And after you join the company, there's only one thing we ask of you: to take the initiative.
Real change doesn't happen while you're just following instructions. Step outside your comfort zone, build your own network, and hustle. New possibilities only come to those who keep moving like that.

INTERVIEW

Origin of the company name and commitment to the third founding.

Senior Managing Executive Officer Masakazu Sato

"Marvelous Frontier" means "astonishing pioneer" in English. Due to the long company name and the Malaysian custom of abbreviating everything, the nickname "MF" became established, allowing us to grow to the point where people across industries say "I've heard of MF." Honestly, changing the company name brings a certain amount of tension. I still receive many comments like "Chairman Kimura was very good to me," and I've been greatly helped by the diligence and sincerity that have been steadily built up since the company's founding. Transitioning from "Kimura Textile" to consolidate under "Marvelous Frontier" means taking on our responsibilities to everyone under a new name. We will move forward with the weight of that responsibility in our hearts.

The stage for the third founding is for the next generation.

Global Business Department General Manager Takhiro Nagase

I joined the company in 2002, so this is my 24th year.
I strongly feel that I "joined Marvelous Frontier" rather than "joined Kimura Sen-i." This is because I applied for an overseas operations position, went to Malaysia less than a month after joining, and that's where my career began.
Since returning to Japan about 10 years ago, I've conversely realized how much I've been helped by the Kimura Sen-i brand. As the company name is now consolidated under Marvelous Frontier, I approach this turning point with a feeling of returning to my roots. Regarding this third founding, I hope that the next generation will step forward, rather than me being in a position as "the face of the second founding."

From Japanese Companies to Global Companies

We view this third founding as a phase to evolve from a "Japanese company" into a "global company." The renaming this time is intended as a declaration of our intention to unite as one team under the same company name, with Japan and overseas locations working together as a single unit to take on the global market.
It is only when young people, like I was 20 years ago, join our company and build the future together with us, that this company name change will truly come to mean something. To ensure that my own path can be of even a little help to the next generation, I will continue to approach the tasks at hand with care.
